FRONT PAGES OF THE WORLD

1. What is your favorite newspaper front page? Why? - I liked the Lubbock-Avalanche Journal because the pictures were large and there were bright colors used.
2. What is your favorite headline from that newspaper? Why are you interested in it? - My favorite headline is "It's a dirty job..." I am interested in it because I wanted to learn what they were talking about and what needed to be cleaned. 
3. How many stories are on the front page of your favorite? - 4
4. What do you notice that all newspaper front pages have in common? Look at design, size of photos, size of story text, etc. - All magazines have a dominant photo for the most part and a dominant story as well. There are also for the most part more than one story at the front. 
5. What are things that vary (or are different) on the front pages of different newspapers? Look at design, size of photos, size of headlines, etc. - The size of the headlines and the photos vary in all of the magazine as well as the subheadlines. 

OTHER HIGH SCHOOL NEWSPAPERS

1. What is your favorite newspaper front page? Why? - The Lake, because   liked the unique design on the cover.
2. Which paper immediately grabbed your interest? Why?  - The same one because the background was black while a lot of the other backgrounds had other colors on it.
3. What is your favorite headline from that newspaper? Why are you interested in it? - It doesn't appear to have any headlines.
4. How many stories are on the front page of your favorite?  - there are none.
5. What do you notice that all newspaper front pages have in common? Look at design, size of photos, size of story text, etc. - I noticed that all of them have at least one dominant photo as well as a headline and some subheadlines.

What are things that vary (or are different) on the front pages of different newspapers? Look at design, size of photos, size of headlines, etc. - Some magazines only have one dominant photo while others have more than one. The headline on some are centered while others have them off center, same with the subheadlines. 
7. Were these similar to what you saw last class when you looked at daily newspapers from around the world? - They were a little similar but they didn't seem quite as professionally done as the ones from all around the world.

SUMMARY -  A teacher named Mr. Gomez at Bowie was diagnosed with cancer, but that hash't stopped him from being involved in the school or keeping himself optimistic.

1A. Why is this your favorite? - I liked all of the emotion and the the shadows evident in the photo

2. What is your least favorite photo in the entire paper? - photo of Hailey walker throwing a softball.
2A. Why is this your least favorite? - I just don't like how blurry it seems and how the action wasn't really caught in the photo.

3. If you were a photographer on staff, which event/photo assignment would you have liked to do for this issue? You will need to look through the entire paper and see the topics covered and decide which one you think would have been fun. - I like the entertainment section and the commentary section because it seems more personal and more exciting. 

4. Overall, how would you rate the photography in this issue? What were the strong points and weak points. - I think the photography overall was pretty well done but there were some cropping problems.
