1.) Summarize what you watched and read about - let's say 2-3 paragraphs of 3-4 sentences

You need to capture the footage, assemble the photos together, and then add the titles. The view screen, the clips bit, and the timeline are the three main parts of iMovie. You can use the scissor icon to clip specific footage.

The timeline can be viewed into two different modes, and you can also zoom in and out of the timeline. In order for your computer to connect iMovie and your camera you need to connect the cables and then the screen will say that the footage has been connected. After that, you need to hit import. Then every time that you hit "stop" and "play"the video will be clipped into different parts.

I already knew about how to clip videos.

I didn't know how to add titles and subtitles to the video

NUT GRAF

A Nut graf is slang in newspaper that is the name of of a certain paragraph in a story. The nut graph explains the news values in a story. Basically, it tells the reader the who, what, where, when, how, and why of a story.

c. List three problems that the judges noted with the portfolio - There wasn't enough symbolism, the photos all looked similar, and the story wasn't good enough. 
d. List two things the judges like- The background of the man in haiti and the girl falling over the hurtles
e. What is your overall impression of the photographer? What did you like or not like?- I honestly liked all the emotions in all of the photos. But I can agree with the way the judges thought that there needed to be more.

c. List three problems that the judges noted with the portfolio -Thought that some of the subjects were too dominated by other things in the photo, couldn't tell what some of the focus was meant to be on, and thought that in some photos there didn't seem to be much sense
d. List two things the judges like- liked the natural look and weirdness of some photos. 
e. What is your overall impression of the photographer? What did you like or not like? I thought that they had some really good photos, but none really stood out to me.

c. List three problems that the judges noted with the portfolio - Thought that some of the photos were too mediocre, some were out of focus, didn't like all the kid photographs that seemed cliche. 
d. List two things the judges like- They liked how the photographer went out of his comfort zone and liked the silhouettes  
e. What is your overall impression of the photographer? What did you like or not like? I thought that they could've used more emotion in their photos but they were overall pretty moving. 

WINNING VIDEO

a. What did the judges note as strengths as they were critiquing it? They liked the composition of some photos and how the photographer seemed to be part of the photos.
b. What do you see as strengths? Do you see any weaknesses? I see all of the emotion that the photographer was trying to capture and I liked the angles that he used. I think that some of the photos were too busy. 


PART 3:

1. Describe one photo that you agree with the judges on. Explain why you and the judges do or do not like it.
I agree with their feelings on on of the action photos with the race car because I did like the leading lines, but there wasn't anything beautiful about it. It wasn't eye-catching or dramatic in any way. 

2. Describe one photo that you do NOT agree with the judges on. Explain why you think the judges are wrong.
I think that the photo of the greyhounds running was an excellent picture, the judges thought that it wasn't as good as it should have been and were debating whether or not to keep it. I think that the focus and the expression of the dogs was awesome and the viewer can almost feel themselves being there. I think that even thought there was burning out in the photo it was still an awesome photo.

STUDENT OF THE MONTH STORY

In the month of March at Bowie High School Mia Barbosa won the Student of the Month Award because she worked hard and made herself know, her intense studying and her good grades helped her win this award.

            Barbosa didn’t think that she deserved the award and was extremely excited to win it. “I know other people who deserve it as well, Eliana Lynch (the $wagmama) has also won this award. I won the defense award in soccer, but nothing this exciting has ever happened to me before.” Barbosa exclaimed smiling.

However, Mia knew in her heart that she definitely deserved this award. “I put a lot of time and effort into my school work.” Mia explained.

            Many people were very happy for Barbosa. “My parents are very proud and very glad. So is my dog.” Said Mia.

Her classes and teachers were also responsible in her success. “ The way my teachers taught was very helpful, English and Biology helped me, Mr. Flick and Mr. Reeves were the teachers who nominated me for this award as well.” Barbosa stated.

            Ever since Barbosa won the award, life has been a little different for her. “My friends think it’s amazing and I have gotten special attention from others.” Mia admitted shyly.

            Mia also talked about what she planned to exceed in her near and far future. “I think that winning this award will help my future, I want to be part of the Who’s Who award when I graduate, and I think that this award will look good on job applications.” Barbosa replied.

            Even thought she has gotten major popularity from this experience, Barbosa is always happy to be at school for all the right reasons. “I like seeing my friends and getting an education.” Barbosa said smiling.

LIGHT-

This is an example of light because you can see the light streaming in from the side. The light reflects off the building and makes it look mirror like.


PATTERNS-

This is an example of pattern because the different parts of the building protruding from the building itself all match. They are all facing the same way as well.

This is an example of angles and shapes because the angle is from the side of the building. And the shapes are rectangles and circles and triangles.

This is a good example of surroundings because the building is in the midst of hundreds of trees and houses. The houses that look old and rustic, help the building stand out in its uniqueness.
