1. What made you pick the photo?
I picked this photo because the story behind it is so sweet. The girl is going through radiation and so she can't be outside, but even with that, she finds comfort in a friendly dog who is willing to bond even through the glass wall that separates the two.

2. Is there anything about the composition of the photo (this means how the photographer set the photo up in their view finder, NOT the content of the photo) that made your eyes gravitate to the photo?
The dog is in the center which made my eyes look immediately at the dog. There aren't that many other colors that stand out in this photo so the eye catcher is first the dog and then the girl

This made top 40 photos ever because of all the feelings of loyalty and love in all captured in a single shot

1. What made you pick the photo?
I picked this photo because of how it affected me when I first saw it. You see a well dressed older man kneeling down on his knee in respect and appreciation for the person being remembered in this memorial. You see his hand resting on one name and you realize that each individual who died that day had a mourning family doing the exact same thing.

2. Is there anything about the composition of the photo (this means how the photographer set the photo up in their view finder, NOT the content of the photo) that made your eyes gravitate to the photo?
The light that hits the memorial catches the eye because of the glow, and the man himself because he's the only part of the photo that's completely in focus.

This made top 40 photos because of how much pain, love, and devastation is shown in this photo, and because it shows how 9/11 is a day that still affects everyone to this day.

I picked this photo because of how symbolic it was. The fact that the girl is attempting to add just a little bit of innocence to the destruction and evil of a gun is almost poetic. The fact that she is wearing brightly colored clothing also shows an amazing contrast against the army suits that are black.

I immediately looked at the flower in this photo because of its contrast between the darkness of the gun and army clothing.

This photo made top 40 photos because of how poetic and symbolic the photo was and how it impacts the viewer.
